About the Hotel
In the heart of Mikulov, right in the historic Jewish quarter, stands Hotel Tanzberg, which is far more than just an ordinary building… It is the original rabbinate, which played an important role in the life of the local community. The atmosphere of the ancient streets, the proximity of the synagogue and the unique genius loci give every stay an exceptional character. Every corner of the house recalls the rich history of the town, where for centuries different cultures, traditions and life stories have intertwined.
In the past it was a religious and community centre, where services, teaching, ceremonies and celebrations took place – and today? Hotel Tanzberg, with respect for tradition, continues most of the original mission of this magical place. The spirit of meeting, sharing and hospitality is still present here – only in a different form. Instead of prayers and study, there are now friendly gatherings over a glass of wine, family celebrations, intimate weddings or corporate events that make use of the unique atmosphere of this historic house. Every stay thus becomes a small story that naturally follows on from the history of this building.
It has been carefully renovated to meet today’s standards. The original architectural features, vaults and layout have been preserved wherever possible and complemented with modern facilities that ensure comfort and convenience. Guests are welcomed to 17 cosy rooms that provide maximum comfort, whether travelling with family on holiday or planning a romantic getaway. Each room is different and original, with an emphasis on detail and a calm atmosphere that invites relaxation after a day spent exploring Mikulov and the surrounding vineyards. The Tanzberg restaurant delights with original dishes that combine tradition, a modern approach to gastronomy and a passion for honest culinary craftsmanship. The menu reflects regional ingredients, seasonality and inspiration from both Jewish and Moravian cuisine, complemented by carefully selected wines from the in-house winery. Mikulov can be enjoyed with all the senses – in a historic setting, with views of picturesque streets and the aroma of good food and wine that completes the unforgettable atmosphere of the stay.

Guests are welcomed in 17 rooms, with a choice of Standard rooms, which offer the perfect combination of comfort and practicality, luxurious Comfort rooms, and the superiorly equipped Maharal apartment, designed to satisfy even the most demanding guests.
Winery
The renowned wines from the Tanzberg winery can be enjoyed in the hotel restaurant as well as in the beer hall, and they will, of course, perfectly complement any stay at the hotel. There are also excellent experiential tastings available, either directly at the winery or at the hotel.

Golem Pub
The hotel also features the renowned Golem Pub, where the best beer in Mikulov is on tap. The pub is guarded by a statue of the Golem, which conceals a fireplace and recalls the local legend that the legendary Golem was created here by Rabbi Löw.
